Ace Kefford - Ace the Face mp3 download
Easily recognizable vocals Ace can be heard on the first album and The Move in their singles. When the session came to an end, Kefford broke again and closed the project.

You might think it quite unlikely that even the most enterprising reissue label could manage to come up with a whole album of Ace Kefford material, given that the ex-Move man released just one single under his own name. The most amazingly unlikely '60s rock relics were being discovered several decades after the fact, though, and it turns out that Kefford recorded an entire unreleased album in mid-1968, with Tony Visconti as producer.
Christopher John "Ace" Kefford (born 10 December 1946) is an English bassist. He was the co-founder of The Move in October 1965 with Trevor Burton, after meeting David Bowie at Birmingham's Cedar Club, following a performance by Bowie's band Davy Jones and the Lower Third. The duo invited Roy Wood, then Carl Wayne and Bev Bevan to join and complete the classic Move line-up.
Ace Kefford – The Move never really recovered from his departure in 1968, and sadly Ace never really recovered from his demons that led to said departure. He was part of that great Move front-line with Roy, Carl and Trev – great soulful voice, great bass player and with his sunken cheek-boned face and blonde hair, easily the best looking. So with all this in mind I had high hopes for this ‘unreleased’ LP, having only heard Ace Kefford Stand’s ‘For Your Love’ from his post-Move work. For me, ‘FYL’ is the best track on this compilation
Ace the Face by Ace Kefford. On leaving The Move, Kefford embarked on a solo album with producer Tony Visconti at Olympic and Trident Studios during May and July 1968. Eight complete songs were recorded, but as sessions drew to a close, Ace suffered a severe breakdown and walked out on the project. He attempted suicide soon afterwards. The album was abandoned and tapes lost until their discovery earlier in 2003.
