made my heart break again (I was tangled up in your drastic ways) (Who knew evil girls had the prettiest face?) I still see your shadows in my room Can't take back the love that I gave you It's to the point where I love and I hate you And I cannot change you, so I must replace you, oh Easier said than done, I thought you were the one Listenin' to my heart instead of my head You found another. Juice uses the idea of controlling a lucid dream as an analogy for his mental state; to avoid the pain of seeing his ex-lover in his dreams, Juice seeks to replace them-for good. Frequent Juice WRLD collaborator, Nick Mira handled the production of Lucid Dreams, with assistance from Sidepce. When I go to the studio all night, I could, if I’m putting the work in, I could freestyle like six or seven songs a night. I had no idea that it would be a song that blew up.

So I could dream aoftly and tenderly Of gossamer clouds above slender Eucalyptus trees, And smell the vanilla in the breeze that lightly envelopes me in joy. Dream of a sanctuary that belongs only to me, Where no one could interrupt me or pull me away from myself. Dream of a world so far beyond this life, Where I could be content in every aspect of myself and of the world. Just dream and dream and dream my life away, Until they wake me and drag me way from myself again. How I wish I could dream, How I wish I could dream, How I wish I coulddream my whole life away.

I wish I could bite my tongue Fall asleep, no damage done Keep the peace in the dark I wish I could, but I know I can't. Next to you the light stays on Next to you, but miles apart Oh, to break the spell of a lonely heart I wish I could, but I know I can't. Oh, I wish that we were still lovers I wish that we were still friends I know I messed up at the finish, I need to get back to the start Well, I wish I could, but I know I can't. So shut me out if you must I turn away, you turn to dust I'd fight for us, hold that remark I wish I could but I know I can't.

Novembre, with time, became one of the most known and renowned Italian rock/metal bands from their country, but their debut album Wish I Could Dream It Again… was fairly amateurish. Instrumentally, the band builds up a psychedelic brand of Gothic/Black Metal in the vein of Paradise Lost, Anathema and especially Fields of the Nephilim, yet they manage to make it sound fairly original, at the time of its release in 1994. The clean vocals are whiny and absolutely out of tune: the black vocals fare better. The clean guitar arpeggios recall future things done by Forgotten Tomb, and, as it grows on, the album reveal all of the band’s Black Metal stamina, sometimes recalling Ancient’s weird nature or In The Woods…’s pseudo-progressive songwriting. Frequent acoustic arpeggios alternate with faster rhythms and tremolo guitars. The melodies are inspired, if a bit predictable and meandering. Interesting, but the clean vocals are truly horrible.Highlights: “The Dream of Old Boats”, “Let Me Hate”, “Neanderthal Sands”.
