Lars Hollmer - With Floury Hand (Sketches) [Med Mjölad Hand (Skisser)] mp3 download

Med mjölad hand is the album Lars was working on before he died. This CD/DVD set includes a professionally filmed DVD from 2005 of a performance by Lars solo, in duo with bassoonist Michel Berckmans (of Univers Zero), and one song with Miriodor, plus extras

35. Utflykt Med Damyckel.

Format: CD, Album DVD, DVD-Video, NTSC, All-region, PCM Stereo.

Encouraged by Cuneiform Records' Steve Feigenbaum, Lars Hollmer's son Gabriel Strand Hollmer completed his father's With Floury Hand project after Lars' passing in 2008, and the CD portion of this 2012 CD/DVD set certainly reflects the "weird" flavor the elder Hollmer intended. The tracks Gabriel compiled from the archive of his father's Chickenhouse studio outside Uppsala, Sweden effectively capture the unhinged spirit Lars planned to contrast the melancholy of his last album, 2008's Viandra  . is not With Floury Hand as my father might have imagined it and it is not a finished album" (hence the parenthetical "Sketches" appended to the title).

Lars Gustav Gabriel Hollmer (21 July 1948 – 25 December 2008) was a Swedish accordionist, keyboardist and composer, whose work drew on music ranging from Nordic folk tunes to progressive rock. He has been a member and/or founder of over half a dozen groups, most of whose work has been recorded at The Chickenhouse, his well outfitted home studio in his hometown of Uppsala

The release of With Floury Hand (English translation of the Swedish Med Mjölad Hand) in the summer of 2012 – three and a half years after Lars Hollmer’s untimely passing on Christmas Day, 2008 – came as a boon to all the devoted followers of the influential Swedish artist who had still not come to terms with his demise.

With Floury Hand is the final release by Lars Hollmer. In addition to the CD that contains the best recordings of what he was working on before he died and which is a huge treat in itself, also included is a professionally filmed DVD from 2005 of a performance at the Gouveia Art Rock Festival in Portugal.

With FLoury Hand (sketches). With Floury Hand (Sketches), Med Mjölad Hand (Skisser). 1 Jan 2012 · 26 tracks. Live: Gouveia Art Rock Festival 2005, Live: Heuwiesse 2005.

With Floury Hand (Sketches) Lars Hollmer RIO/Avant-Prog. Swedish composer and musician Lars HOLLMER is a well known name in progressive rock circles. Another amazig solo album by Lars Hollmer of Samla Mammas Manna. The album features a lot of styles and emotions, all delivered with unique Lars Hollmer style. I would say the first part of the album is more experimental (Onk Kch Onk Kch being the example), the second part contains more melodical and traditional music which is a mixture of folk, prog, RIO, jazz, tango and God knows what else.
