The album features four singles that reached the Top 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100 or the Top 10 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart, including "Just Another Day", which was also a big hit worldwide. The album sold six million copies worldwide and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. It peaked at on the Billboard 200 album chart in March 1993

Hungate was in Toto from 1977 to 1982 and he’s well-known session player. Hungate rejoined the band as a touring member in 2014 after Nathan East, who had toured with the group since 2010, left to pursue other projects. The group’s official bassist, Mike Porcaro, is battling ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Toto reformed in 2010 after a 2008 breakup to play some European shows to benefit Porcaro.

On this day in music history: June 29, 1976 - Lowdown by Boz Scaggs is released. Written by Boz Scaggs and David Paich, it is the biggest hit for the San Francisco, CA based singer, songwriter and musician. Co-written by Scaggs and future Toto co-founder and keyboardist David Paich, the track also features future Toto members Jeff Porcaro (drums) and David Hungate (bass), along with veteran studio guitarists Fred Tackett and Louie Shelton and background vocalists Carolyn Willis, Jim Gilstrap, Augie Johnson and Marty McCall

Hungate played on Toto's first four records, including multiple Grammy award-winning album, Toto IV. He left the band shortly after its release for a career as a session musician in Nashville. Hungate, who plays many instruments including guitar, trumpet, drums, and piano, has arranged, produced and recorded with several country artists such as Chet Atkins. He was also a primary member of AOR supergroup Mecca fronted by Joe Vana and Fergie Frederiksen, the latter also of Toto fame. In 1990 he released a solo album entitled "Souvenir"
