The Definitive Collection. One of the most accomplished and enduring British singer/songwriters to emerge from the 1960s club circuit, the young Ralph McTell signed his first publishing deal with Essex Music, who then brokered a recording contract with Nat Joseph's folk-oriented Transatlantic label in the summer of 1967.

TRANSATLANTIC is Prog's premier super group. A truly illustrious collection of amazing talent that push the barriers which redefine the meaning of a progressive rock supergroup! Of course thats no surprise, looking at the all-star line-up: keyboardist, vocalist NEAL MORSE (Spocks Beard), drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), guitarist ROINE STOLT (Flower Kings), and bassist Pete Trewavas (Marillion). Transatlantic is a supergroup formed for legends of progrock scene and this album shows the evolution of band, for me the best of all. One song divided for many sections is so hard for a composer to mantain of atmosphere of composition. The combination really worked and I still have that album as part of my cherished collection. in spite of many other supergroups which have appeared on the scene for a brief period, I haven't yet come across another one which really works.

First design had a purple round globe, stating 'Transatlantic Records'. In 1966 the design changed to a white globe in a purple square, with just a 't' next to it. Shortly after that, the globe was aligned around the spindle hole. In the early 70s, the label design changed again, to the multicolored and black and white 'Globe' label, which had several color variations.
