Saxophonist Leo Gandelman is one of Brazils most respected musicians and a legend in Rio's MPB broadcasting arena. He is a veteran of over 600 album session appearances and multiple solo releases culminating in the release of his latest lp VIP VOP on Far Out records. This is a man who has worked with just about every legendary brazilian musician of the last 30 years including Milton Nascimento, Joyce and Leny Andrade. The name Leo Gandelman may not ring a bell for local jazz lovers but the Brazilian saxophone player is worshipped in his homeland. The musician will be performing in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. Presented by KLPac and the Embassy of Brazil in KL, the two-night show will see an upbeat repertoire comprising samba and bossa nova rhythms.
