Celso Piña (Born 6 April 1953 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México) is a notable Mexican singer, composer and accordionist. In 2002, Pina was nominated for two Latin Grammy Awards: "Best Contemporary Tropical Album" and "Best New Artist From the North" as well as for "Best Alternative Artist" by the MTV Latino Awards.

Celso Piña is one of those survivors. Tomorrow he leaves for Mexico City, where he'll play a music festival for thousands. His new CD Mundo Colombia is climbing the charts with the same eclectic style of the previous Barrio Bravo. This time out, he's recorded several outstanding tracks, especially "La Piragua" with Julieta Venegas, one of Mexico's best alternative singers. And Toy Hernández is once again behind the mixing board with his cumbia dub style.

Celso Pina, the Colombian/Mexican musician that took music fans by storm in 2001 returns with his follow-up release to Barrio Bravo, Mundo Colombia. This album continues the amazing concept of blending genres like: Vallenato, Guapango Norteno and hip hop - rock en Espanol, to create a totally unique sound.
