Australian born to Spanish heritage, Helen Rivero has built a musical career as a dramatic and adventurous singer of music largely drawn from traditional repertoire. Her first album, Rivero, focussed mostly on Spanish and Sephardic songs. Luminous is the fourth studio album by English rock band the Horrors. It was released on 5 May 2014 by record label XL. The album's style has been described as neo-psychedelia, shoegazing and dream pop. In 2014 it was awarded a silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 20,000 copies throughout Europe.
