Quiet, Please is a collection of recordings originally made for Candid by Eric Dolphy as a sideman with Charles Mingus, Booker Little and vocalist Abbey Lincoln. As a result, this is not really an ideal compilation to appreciate his playing, since he has a limited supporting role on these particular sessions. Most of his playing is done in the ensembles; he solos on only one of the three Little compositions ("Quiet, Please"), while he also makes a brief appearance on alto sax with Lincoln in "Tain't Nobody's Bizness If I D. Mingus makes better use of him in his.

Quiet Please! Quiet Please! is a 1945 American one-reel animated cartoon and is the 22nd Tom and Jerry short, which won the 1945 Academy Award for Best Short Subject: Cartoons, making it the third consecutive win for the series. It was produced by Fred Quimby and directed by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, with music by Scott Bradley.

Out There is a 1961 jazz album by Eric Dolphy. It was Dolphy's second album released as band leader, following his time with Charles Mingus. The album features four original compositions by Dolphy, one of which is a collaborative effort with Mingus. The album also features three covers, "Eclipse" by Mingus, "Sketch of Melba" by Randy Weston and "Feathers" by Hale Smith. The cover features a painting by Richard Jennings, referred to as "the Prophet" in Dolphy's album, At the Five Spot.
