Everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood, because she always wore a red riding hood. It had been given to her by her grandmother, who loved the little girl very much. One day Little Red Riding Hood’s mother said, Here, child, take this basket to your grandmother. It’s got bread, butter, cake and berries in it. She’s feeling sick and I hope this will make her feel better. Don’t talk to strangers, don’t leave the path and walk straight to your grandma’s house So Little Red Riding Hood set off. The girl had just entered the woods, when a wolf came out of the trees. She wasn’t scared because she didn’t know wolves are dangerous. Good day, Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf greeted her. Good day, Mr Wolf, the girl replied. Where are you going? he asked. I’m going to visit my grandmother, because she isn’t feeling very well, Little Red Riding Hood replied. What do you have in that basket? asked the wolf.
The Brave Little Abacus were an indie/emo/math rock band from somewhere in New England that formed in 2008 and broke up in 2012. Here's a band that did not even get a 10th of the attention that they deserved, but are definitely loved by everyone who has had the chance to hear them. All your other favourite bands, such as Snowing and Algernon Cadwallader are decent comparisons, though it's near impossible to find anything truly resembling The Brave Little Abacus. I highly recommend giving them a listen, especially if you're looking for bands like the aforementioned with a more al side. 7. A fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm Grimm. Little Red Riding Hood promised to obey her mother. The grandmother lived out in the woods, a half hour from the village. When Little Red Riding Hood entered the woods a wolf came up to her. She did not know what a wicked animal he was, and was not afraid of him. "Good day to you, Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red-Riding-Hood was delighted to go, though it was a long walk; but she was a good child, and fond of her kind grandmother. Passing through a wood, she met a great wolf, who was most eager to eat her up, but dared not, because of a woodcutter who was busy hard by. So he only came and asked her politely where she was going. Well, said the wolf, I will go there also, to inquire after your excellent grandmother; I will go one way, and you the other, and we will see who can be there first. So he ran as fast as ever he could, taking the shortest road, but the little maiden took the longest; for she stopped to pluck roses in the wood, to chase butterflies, and gather nosegays of the prettiest flowers she could find – she was such a happy and innocent little soul. The wolf was not long in reaching the grand-mother’s door. He knocked, Toc – toc, and the grandmother said, Who is there?
Little Red-Cap, however, had been running about picking flowers, and when she had gathered so many that she could carry no more, she remembered her grandmother, and set out on the way to her. She was surprised to find the cottage-door standing open, and when she went into the room, she had such a strange feeling that she said to herself: ’Oh dear! how uneasy I feel today, and at other times I like being with grandmother so much. She called out: ’Good morning,’ but received no answer; so she went to the bed and drew back the curtains.
