The Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra (German: ter Stuttgart des SWR) was a German radio orchestra based in Stuttgart in Germany. The ensemble was founded in 1945 by American occupation authorities as the orchestra for Radio Stuttgart, under the name Sinfonieorchester von Radio Stuttgart (Symphony Orchestra of Radio Stuttgart)

Clara Haskil (piano), ter Stuttgart des SWR, Carl Schuricht. Clara Haskil’s performances of Mozart’s concertos Nos. 9 and 19 are stunning, and Carl Schuricht is equally impressive in his supporting role. These outstanding interpretations represent a high-point in the collaboration between two highly distinguished, yet modest, artists.

Carl St. Clair: SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart Symphony No 1 'The Unexpected' Op 112 - Allegro moderato - Allegro. Carl Schuricht & Stuttgart Radio Orchestra Piano Concerto No. 9 in E Major, KV 271 'Jeunhomme': I. Allegro. the 69 eyes back in blood album. like tomorrow never comes.

Performer: Clara Haskil. Orchestra: Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Conductor: Paul Sacher, Bernhard Paumgartner. Composer: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Clara was magnetic despite the terrible sonics, among the worst that she received. Even her 19 and 20 on Westminster sounded better. This cd is an improvement if not as potent as her two best engineered lps/cds of Mozart concerti, plus the sonata k280 and the Variations k265 and the concerti 19+27, both on DG. Sacher conducts better than Paumgartner, I think. However, Clara here plays with characteric clarity, sculpted articulation and emotional depth. Try the second movements of both. They communicate tragedy deeply- more subtly than overtly
