Kid Creole and the Coconuts is an American musical group created and led by August Darnell. Its music incorporates a variety of styles and influences, in particular a mix of disco and Latin American, South American, Caribbean, Trinidadian, and Calloway styles and conceptually inspired by the big band era. The Coconuts are a trio of female backing vocalists/dancers whose lineup has changed throughout the years.

Our first ever official LIVE album and it jumps! Includes our Top 10 singles "Stool Pigeon," "I'm a Wonderful Thing, Baby" and "Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy. I am astonished by how CONFIDENT we all were! The musicians were all at the top of their game, I was fortunate to have gathered such an ensemble. We did not take ourselves seriously, but at the same time we were laying down some serious grooves, lyrics and serious musical arrangements. August Darnell aka Kid Creole.

Disillusioned by the politics in his big brother’s band, Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band, Mr. Darnell jumped ship in 1981 and formed Kid Creole and the Coconuts with his wife Adriana Kaegi and his buddy Sugar Coated Andy. Thus began the odyssey.

Kid Chocolate is a four-piece rock band from Providence, Rhode Island. Made up of Vinnie Neuberg (ar), Guy Kozak (Vocals/Guitar), Andrew Cecin (Bass), and Jamie Wolfond (Drums). Kid Chocolate is a four-piece rock band from Providence, Rhode Island. Kid Chocolate is a four-piece rock band from.

The band's front line was trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, trombonist Curtis Fuller, and tenor saxophonist Wayne Shorter; Cedar Walton played piano and Jymie Merritt (a criminally underappreciated talent) was the bassist. Everything on this set was written by the musicians in the band. Walton wrote the burning title track; its blazing tempo and Eastern modes were uncharacteristic of the Jazz Messengers sound, but it swings like mad. Hubbard contributed two pieces to the album, the first of which is the groover "Down Under," with its blues gospel feel

Since 1987, Kim's Chocolates has strived to make the world's finest Belgian chocolates, prioritising sustainability throughout the supply chain and production process. The "Cocoa for Schools" project is committed to improve the lives of thousands of cocoa farmers and their families in Kyela, Tanzania. Investing in education is a huge part of this programme, as it has been shown to be the single most effective way of getting out of poverty.

The drummer, composer and bandleader's latest album, The Mosaic Project: Love and Soul, is part of her ongoing effort to showcase women in jazz. Terri Lyne Carrington won a Grammy for her all-female jazz album The Mosaic Project in 2011. Tracy Love/Courtesy of the artist.
