Peachtree Road is the twenty-seventh studio album by British singer-songwriter Elton John, released in 2004. It was named after Peachtree Road, the northern part of Peachtree Street in Atlanta, where one of John's four homes is located.
Great North Road (Great Britain). The Great North Road was the main highway between London and Scotland. It became a coaching route used by mail coaches travelling between London, York and Edinburgh. The modern A1 mainly parallels the route of the Great North Road. Coaching inns, many of which survive, were staging posts providing accommodation, stabling for horses and replacement mounts.
The Old Great North Road is one of the best surviving examples of our convict heritage. The d section of the road occurs within Dharug National Park. Up to 720 convicts worked on the Great North Road and built stonework including buttresses, culverts, bridges and 9-metre-high retaining walls. The road was completed in 1836. Ask Shane Theriot, the Grammy-winning New Orleans native who serves that role with Hall and Oates and on Daryl Hall’s acclaimed television show, Live From Daryl’s House. An acclaimed arranger and studio musician, he has worked with The Neville Brothers, John Waite, Dr. John, Boz Scaggs, Willie Nelson, Beyoncé, Harry Connick, J. LeAnn Rimes, Jo-El Sonnier, and others. His work as producer and guitarist on Sonnier’s The Legacy earned his first Grammy – and notice from his current bosses. I first met Shane in New Orleans (while) cutting tracks for my Good Road to Follow album, and it took less than half a song to realize I was playing with someone with a very high level of musicianship, added Oates. As great players do, he always plays the right thing at the right moment. I thought he would be a perfect fit for the Hall and Oates band.
