Saxophonist Benny Golsons album Take A Number From 1 To 10 is sometimes disparagingly called a novelty album, since the album begins with Benny performing solo on the first track and then adds a musician to each successive track, building in a ten piece orchestras rendition of the final track. This is no novelty album, rather a progressive build up of a sonic delight that takes the listener from the small yet tight jazz group into the almost full big band sound. This album is also included on Disc Four of a value-priced collection of eight Golson albums that you may want to check out before making a final purchase decision: 8 Classic Albums by Benny Golson. 2 people found this helpful.

Autre perle "Little Karin" avec Freddy Hubbard ou "Swing it".
