Биография Spectrals, лучшие альбомы.

Spectrals albums sorted by date.

Spectrals is the creation of one young lad "L" from the north of England, a place where to not have a baby and a criminal record by the age of 18 is seen as unusual. After being in various bands playing punk rock in basements, L decided to start something combining his love of doo wop, girl groups and adding a bit of rat pack flair with a punk rock vibe to create Spectrals. On September 11, 2013, Louis Jones decided to quit doing music as Spectrals.

When Spectrals - composed of . brothers Louis and Will Jones - opened for the now-defunct Girls and tossed around the idea of having one of its members, JR White, produce what would become 'Sob Story,' it's unlikely anyone knew this would be White's first post-Girls project. The fact that it is makes the record somewhat more notable, and while Spectrals probably aren't happy Girls broke up, 'Sob Story' benefits from the marketing angle. Indeed, press releases lead with a quote from White, who, with one exception, has kept silent since Girls' split.

The 7 single Leave Me Be was released in 2009 on Captured Tracks. Early the following year, he issued split singles with Fair Ohs (on Tough Love) and Mazes (on Love Is Disgusting), both of which featured two of his songs. A Spectrals Extended Play. Dip Your Toe In. Chip A Tooth (Spoil A Smile). Put Your Crystal Ball Away.

Spectrals (No 1,087). Louis Oliver Jones might be a 21-year-old lad from Leeds, but his music is totally in hock to American garage rock. Think of Spectrals as the direction Turner might have taken had Last Shadow Puppets been more influenced by the Shangri-Las than the Walker Brothers. Jones's voice apart, Spectrals are totally in hock to early rock'n'roll – not the greasy, high-energy stuff, but the spectral (a-ha!) ballads from that era, the pop stuff, the doo wop. If Jim Reid had made a solo album in 1986, it might have sounded like this. In fact, it's the solo album James Allan of Glasvegas is probably considering making even as we speak.

Music News: Spectrals return with second album 'Sob Story'. Spectrals are set to return, with new album 'Sob Story' set to be released through Wichita on June 3rd. Funny thing, 'lo fi'. The way technology has progressed, aspiring songwriters are able to construct professional level studios in their bedroom with relative ease. Yet Spectrals' debut album 'Bad Penny' was most definitely lo-fi. A scratchy, beguiling piece of work, it found Yorkshire based Louis Jones stretching his creative wings. Now he's ready to return. New album 'Sob Story' was constructed with assistance from Girls' Chet JR White.
