Los Angeles' Red Hot Chili Peppers are known to many as one of the best alternative rock bands. Blending c-inspired grooves with Los Angeles’ first wave of punk of the early ‘80s, the Red Hot Chili Peppers still influence the next generation of musicians.

Red Hot Chilli Addiction - Probably a acquired taste but its a good funk metal album, from start to finish is gold. 7 I'm With You. Monarchy of Roses; Brendan's Death Song; The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie; Look Around; and, of course, every other wonderful song on this surprisingly magnificent record  . 1. Red Hot Chili Peppers: Greatest Hits 2. Mother's Milk 3. Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Mind you, their debut album came out in 1984. Mind you, their debut album came out in 1984. John Frusciante had returned from what could've been his deathbed to reunite with the Chilis after they let Dave Navarro go after not really finding their footing during and after 1995's One Hot Minute. John returned and they released Californication. A true 90's CLASSIC, imo. The band was HUGE once again. Then they released By the Way in 2002. Again, a MASSIVE and highly successful album. Inside the band though, tensions were high

Too Hot to Handle is a Jorma Kaukonen acoustic solo album released on Relix Records. Too Many Years" and "Ice Age" were later re-recorded with Jefferson Airplane for their eponymous reunion album. The former was again re-recorded for Kaukonen's 1998 album Too Many Years. Broken Highway" (Malles Meje, Jorma Kaukonen) – 5:16. Too Many Years" (Kaukonen) – 4:43.

However, under their new name, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with Flea back on board, acquired a speculative recording contract with EMI Records America. Unfortunately, as Irons and Slovak were under contract with their new band, their debut album had to be recorded by Kiedis and Balzary with Jack Sherman on guitar and Cliff Martinez (ex-Captain Beefheart, Weirdos) on drums. On 1991's commercially successful Blood Sugar Sex Magik the Red Hot Chili Peppers accurately diagnosed their motivation, and much of their attraction: "Just recognizing that I was a freak, but knowing that was a cool place to b. Producer Rick Rubin, usually associated with the harder end of the metal and rap spectrum (Slayer, Danzig), nevertheless brought out the band's first ballads, including the classic US number 2 hit single "Under The Bridge" (later revived in a "sanitised" version by UK girl group All Saints).

The Red Hot Chili Peppers' self-titled album Red Hot Chili Peppers/EMI. In 1983, high school classmates Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary, Slovak and Jack Irons formed a band to play a one-off show in Los Angeles. It went well, and they decided to keep playing. That went well too, and record label EMI decided to sign them to a contract. With Jack Sherman and Cliff Martinez replacing Slovak and Irons-who'd left to focus on another project-the Peppers released their self-titled debut album in 1984. They weren't thrilled with the result, later calling the album too polished
