Conviction is the second and final studio album by American heavy metal band The Crimson Armada. The album was released on June 21, 2011, through Artery Recordings. It's the only of their releases to include clean vocals. It's the only album to feature vocalist/guitarist Brandon McMaster. Brandon McMaster – Lead guitar, clean vocals.

I think that The Crimson Armada should be one of the newer metalcore bands receiving attention from the public. After being completely disgusted with what the metalcore genre has turned into, The Crimson Armada is a relief for me, therefore gaining back a tad bit more respect for the metalcore genre. It turns out that their first album kind of sucks. But I’m not letting that bring down my opinion on Conviction because it’s always the sophomore release that proves a band’s worthiness.

The Crimson Armada's Conviction album is no longer. I don't know why, at first I thought it was just me but my friends are seeing the same thing. The Crimson Armada's Conviction album is no longer showing up in playlists or the band's page. Did they manually remove this or is this a bug? It just seems weird.

That is why The Crimson Armada’s 2009 release, Guardians, had stuck with me so well. While there was some hardcore influence, it was a death metal album with At the Gates style riffing and some unique (if not disturbing) vocals. It had seemed like the band had broken free of Columbus style crapcore until a new song was posted late last year. Gone were the scathingly high and bastardly low vocals, the death metal riffing, and the potential the band had showed on its first release

In 2011, The Crimson Armada return with a new label and management team lead by The Artery Foundation. They will release their new album Conviction this summer. Further promoting there spiritual nature in a new track entitled Composed of Stone off their upcoming release, vocalist Saud belts out anger and frustration in the opening lyrics I’ll put the fear of god back into you. While many bands of today have a strong focus and sacrilegious and blasphemous matters with an obsession for gore, The Crimson Armada look to be an exception to this rule.
