Remote Luxury is the third EP by the Australian psychedelic rock band The Church, the first of two released in 1984. With the exception of the untypical, synth-heavy "Maybe These Boys", this is one of the more subdued works in the band's catalogue, carrying on the mix of dreamy guitar and keyboards from the previous year's Seance album, but this time in a lighter, more acoustic setting.

Remote Luxury is the first compilation album by the Australian psychedelic rock band The Church, released in 1984. The band had recently signed to Warner Bros.

Studio album by The Church. The first of two EPs released in 1984, Remote Luxury is one of the more subdued works in the Church's catalog. The release carried on the mix of guitars and keyboard effects of the previous year's Seance, but this time in a lighter, more acoustic setting. Without any standout singles, it made little commercial impact, but showcased guitarist Marty Willson-Piper's lead vocals for the first time since 1982's The Blurred Crusade.

and even with their extensive catalogue, still ranks as one of their finest, easily on a par with "Starfish", or the very underrated "Hologram of Baal". I've had it for decades, and write about it now after noticing that it and its predecessor "Seance" are becoming more difficult to find unless they are repackaged sometime down the line.
