From 1971 to 1979 Pride issued a total of 14 albums with 5 of them taking the N. spot on the Country Album Charts. Pride started off the 80s with his Hank Williams’ tribute album There’s a Little bit of Hank in Me. The release hit N. on the Country Album charts and was certified gold in Canada. After this release Pride put out 7 more albums through RCA before ending his contract in 1986. He had felt that RCA was neglecting their older artists and were instead focusing their attention on up and coming acts.
