Imaginary Enemy is the sixth studio album by American rock band The Used. It is the first album released on, and the second label the band created and own, GAS Union. Imaginary Enemy is the final album to feature guitarist Quinn Allman before he parted from the band in November 2015. The album was produced by John Feldmann, who also produced all of the band's studio albums with the exception of Artwork.
Istvan Sàndorfi ~ Hyper-Surrealist painter. István Sándorfi also known as Étienne Sandorfi, was a naturalised French painter of Hungarian origin. He received his formal art education at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts and at École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris. He mastered what art critics now term hyperrealism. But he did so with his very own blend of Surreal elements. He worked at night and was reclusive. If he could choose, he saw very few people other than his family. The contact with galleries and collectors was kept to the bare minimum and enough to make ends meet. Art became his overriding passion to the detriment of his schooling. At the age of 17, while still in secondary school, Sandorfi had his first individual exhibition at a small gallery in Paris. After his second exhibition, in 1966, he gave up drawing to devote himself exclusively to painting.
Like all transhumanists, Istvan believes that through scientific advancement, humans will be able to reverse ageing and eventually death. Though his techno-utopian ideas have gained some traction on the east and west coasts of the US, they have not gone down well in the Bible belt – there is no room for God in his transhumanist future. What the future could look like. The people don’t seem ready for it now, yet Istvan hopes that by 2024 Americans will accept a transhumanist platform. By that point, many robots will have taken our jobs, we’ll have AI around the corner, we’ll be choosing hair and eye color and augmenting children’s intelligence. It certainly seems to be benefiting Brand Zoltan. Could it all be an elaborate strategy to boost his profile and become a media personality? Istvan understands why people might think that, but says he’s committed in the long term.
Imaginary friend Budo narrates this heartwarming. Five years is very long for someone like me to be alive. Max, an autistic child, cannot interact properly with the world.
Beautiful People are a British techno-dance group. Having been granted permission to sample any Jimi Hendrix song they wished, they released If 60's Was 90's. Originally released in 1992 in just the UK, a similarly named album, If 60's Were 90's, was also issued.
Zoltan Istvan very much wants to be the next president of the United States. But not anywhere near as badly as he wants to never die. As the presidential candidate of the Transhumanist Party, Zoltan Istvan is dedicated to spreading transhumanism’s gospel, like some modern day Ken Kesey who doesn’t even need acid for his trip. Zoltan Istvan is very worried about the superintelligent machines. He says the war over artificial intelligence will be worse than the Cold War nuclear arms race - much worse. It will be far more deadly, and whoever wins will control the world, eternally. This artificial intelligence might be being developed right now, he says, for all we know. At a government facility in the middle of the Arizona desert, perhaps.
