Instant stoner classic. The recording is remarkable, the digital clarity diving deep into a trippy and shifting analog miasma of guitar, harmonica, bass, and drums (and what drums!). The band properly takes its time, and hits all the right influences -- early Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Sleep, Black Mountain -- but confidently has its own epic sound and vision.

If you ever wanted to pick up a bass and play it, you'd want to play it like this. If you've ever hit a drum kit you'd try to hit it this hard. Guitar? Ditto. Vocals? Fancy lyricism and authenticity in your voice? It's all here. Simply a great album, yes an album not a digitalised computerised effort. You can hear the sound of a bass amp vibrating and drums that echo round the mountains. Better than anything they have made in my opinion, less obvious in its twists and turns. Yes you can hear references: Led Zep, Sabbath...Groundhogs...good! Makes me want to fly the Atlantic to see it live...for now I'll just play it too loud
