The Canyon lodges are comfortable havens to take a break from the road. Explore and discover the ancient wonderland, or simply luxuriate in the peace, lounging at the poolside, snoozing in the coolness of your chalet or sitting on the terrace dipping into a book. This hike (about 6 km) takes you right into Gondwana Canyon Park. This tour does not include the Fish River Canyon. A hiking trail takes you from Canyon Village up to a mountain plateau. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the vast plains adjacent to the canyon. At ‘Archway Rock’ you start to make your way back into the plain and to the lodge.

The Canyon is the seventh studio album by American rock band The Used. It is a double album. The album was released on October 27, 2017, through Hopeless Records. It is the only studio album to feature guitarist Justin Shekoski since Quinn Allman's departure in 2015. It was highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike and appearing on many best-of-the-year lists, though it only peaked at 50 on the Billboard 200.

The brilliant singer-songwriter's first 10 studio albums, cut during an 11-year span, have been gathered in this import box set. During this run, Mitchell charted one of the most solid career arcs in contemporary music that then detoured into one of the strangest. The album sounds casual. Her voice is newly elastic and expressive, and it's the first record where she sounds like she might actually be fun to hang out with. Ladies also features her generation-defining "Woodstock", "The Circle Game" (Mitchell's answer back to Neil Young's nostalgic "Sugar Mountain"), and her blustery gentrification sing-along, "Big Yellow Taxi".

While Art Podell is a familiar name of the folk era (as singer/songwriter, as part of the highly respected Greenwich Village duo Art & Paul [with Paul Potash] and as a charter member of the New Christy Minstrels), his finest moments in the recording studio came 50 years later on this superb album. His voice has taken on a rich texture, reflecting his laps around the sun, and it serves him well on every track. The latent hit on the album is "But Then You Smile," a favorite in his recent concerts that's just waiting for a Bublé cover version; but there are many highlights. "Dink's Song" is a charming ode to his much missed German shepherd. "Tony's Poem" is a wistful recollection of his life as a songwriter in Laurel Canyon. Perhaps, the most fascinating track is "Time and the River," which expresses some bitter disappointment about his times with the New Christy Minstrels, a group he considered rich with sadly unrealized (suppressed) potential. The sole track that links back to his halcyon days is "You've Heard My Voice" (a.k.a., "You Know My Name"), which was recorded by the Minstrels, Glenn Yarbrough, Barry McGuire and others. It's nice to have, at long last, the definitive performance of this classic by the writer himself. Art's melodies are haunting and his lyrics are rich with sensitivity and human insight. The album is a gem -- a warm, mellow listening experience, well-suited to quiet evenings at home listening to a captivating talent.
