Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth and Tim Bowness of No-Man wrote lyrics and performed vocals on one track each. Critical reception of Blood was generally positive. The more atmospheric and ambient tracks were praised; the more metal-oriented tracks received mixed reactions. If it was just one way or the other, like the singer-songwriter stuff, electronic music or progressive metal, there's a lot of people doing those things already. Moore stated that he found writing songs which combined progressive metal and electronic music easier than writing songs confined to one genre. Moore used Ableton Live to write music and record his vocals Release and promotion. Blood was released by InsideOut Music on April 27, 2009 in Europe and May 19 in North America. Tim Bowness (born 29 November 1963) is an English singer and songwriter primarily known for his work as part of the band No-Man, a long-term project formed in 1987 with Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson.
The new Tim Bowness album, Flowers At The Scene, as with all his work with No-Man and as a solo artist, is an intricately crafted and curated piece of work. It’s always a pleasure to speak with, especially so when he generously took the time to talk over in detail, with more than a hint of humour, the intricacies and some of the stories behind the songs on the album.

As I previously wrote I think the album is wonderful. It features 11 diverse and concise songs of propulsive Art Rock, heartbreaking ballads and quirky pop, delivering cinematic storytelling and confessional lyrics. You can sample the album by watching a lyric video for the first single I Go Deeper here.
Tim Bowness recorded the album Flame (1994) with Richard Barbieri (Porcupine Tree/ex-Japan), and Talking With Strangers (2009) for Judy Dyble (ex-Fairport Convention).
I used some of the RF music on the Judy Dyble album I co-produced and co-wrote (Talking With Strangers), while the rest I’d intended to create a series of ‘VocalScape’ songs out of. After hearing the start of one of my ‘VocalScape’ experiments, Giancarlo took the files away to develop the song further. Tim Bowness January 2011. Album is great like it very much. With the involvement of Giancarlo Erra, Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson, a . mix seems natural. Any change that this will be released? on October 23, 2011 at 1:37 am Reply Drew Fisher.
