Although the album moves at a quick pace, it's still a chore to listen to. There's no personality in these tracks; they're faceless. Book of Love springs to mind whenever Michella Arrichiello sings, and that's about as memorable as Dusk and Desire gets. Moev would eventually show more talent on their 1990 song "Head Down".

Moev - Dusk And Desire. Moev is a synth-pop band based in Vancouver, Canada. It was founded in 1981 by Tom Ferris (keyboards, percussion) and Cal Stephenson (keyboards, vocals). They were joined by Madeleine Morris (vocals) and Mark Jowett (guitar) later that year. Moev's debut album, "Zimmerkampf," appeared in 1982. After their first label (San Francisco based "Go! Records") went broke in early 1983, band member Mark Jowett and manager Terry McBride formed Nettwerk Records in early 1984 to release Moev material.

Moev's current status is unclear to me (you can visit their web site to see if you can figure out what they're up to), but they left behind a deep discography, which I look forward to looking into, and perhaps discovering some new musical pleasures - guilty or otherwise. Nothing really too different. This group has done better but not a bad effort. 1-2 was written to be played on AM radio. One of the Moevers had to drive a truck (for a job) and was subjected to AM radio
