Paul Gaughan - When I Get Off the Moon mp3 download

Dick Guaghan's 1981 folk masterpiece album in full, unabridged. Featuring Brian McNeill, Phil Cunningham & Stewart Isbister.

I love the work of Scotland's Dick Gaughan. To my heart and eyes and ears, he's a giant of the folk realm. This particular song, a Gaughan original from Dick's 1998 album, Redwood Cathedral, speaks to my feelings as I lost an uncle in WWII (Abe is pictured near the beginning of the video).

Gaughan's first album, No More Forever, was recorded in 1971. On it he sings and plays acoustic guitar, joined on some tracks by fiddler Aly Bain. All the songs except one are traditional, the exception being Hamish Henderson's "The John Maclean March", a tribute to the Glasgow socialist John Maclean and a foretaste of the many politically committed songs that Gaughan would later record. Gaughan resumed his solo career and on his next album, Kist O Gold (recorded in 1975), he sang mainly traditional songs, using only his guitar as accompaniment. In that year he also recorded two tracks with The High Level Ranters on their album The Bonnie Pit Laddie 1980s.

But when the Medicine Head album stiffed and quickly sank into obscurity, Pink Floyd felt free to revert back to their album’s original title. 3. Floyd fans were first treated to Dark Side of the Moon in concert more than a year before the album was actually released. I had the Green Onions album when I was a teenager. And in my previous band, we were going for two or three years, and we went through Beatles and Beach Boys, on to all the Stax and soul stuff. We played ‘Green Onions’ onstage. I’d done a fair bit of that stuff; it was something I thought we could incorporate into our sound without anyone spotting where the influence had come from. And to me, it worked. 6. Paul McCartney’s contributions to the album were deleted – but the Beatles made a surprise appearance on the record.

If NASA could get to the moon in 1969 after eight years of work, why is it so hard to go back by 2020? . While engineering a return trip to the moon won't be easy, some experts say the biggest hurdle for Constellation is money. In terms of the challenge, it's really a fiscal challenge - the amount of money that the nation can afford to spend.

Pink Floyd's chart run for 'The Dark Side of the Moon' finally came to a halt in July 1988. As the band's audience grew, so did its landmark album's stature. By the end of the decade, Pink Floyd scored two more No. 1 albums and a Top 3 LP. Through it all, The Dark Side of the Moon remained on the chart, moving up and down based on the band's popularity at the moment. As the early '80s gave way to the mid '80s and then entered the late '80s, the now-legendary album was still on the chart, having gone multi-platinum years ago. In the middle of July 1988, The Dark Side of the Moon was perched near the bottom of the Top 200 in its 736th week

Hey moon, don't you go down. Sugarcane in the easy morning. Сахарный тростник спокойным утром. Weathervanes my one and lonely. The ink is running toward the page. Вспоминая твои ступни в туфлях-лодочках. And that winding knee. И изгибы твоей ноги, I missed your skin when you were east. Я скучал по твоей коже, пока ты была на востоке.
