The Loving Sisters from Little Rock, Arkansas: Gladys McFadden (group leader), Loraine Leeks, Josephine Dumas and Ann James, accompanied on this LP by their sons . This album, little known as it is today, is simply brillant and surpasses much of what was recorded during the mid-1970s.

The Living Sisters is a female folk group consisting of Alex Lilly, Inara George, Becky Stark and Eleni Mandell. In 2009 they began recordings for their first album Love To Live, which was finished and released in 2010. Brothers and Sisters is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Allman Brothers Band. Co-produced by Johnny Sandlin and the band, the album was released in August 1973 in the United States by Capricorn Records. Following the death of group leader Duane Allman in 1971, the Allman Brothers Band released Eat a Peach (1972), a hybrid studio/live album that became their biggest yet. Afterwards, the group purchased a farm in Juliette, Georgia, to become a "group hangout".

McFadden and the Loving Sisters – Jo Dumas, Ann James and Lorraine Leeks – played before a full band, unlike the stripped-down sounds of most gospel. After a 1964 Chicago performance, a listener wrote a local newspaper: I was so ashamed of the entire program.
