Basements in small buildings such as single-family detached houses are rare in wet climates such as Great Britain and Ireland where flooding can be a problem, though they may be used on larger structures. However, basements are considered standard on all but the smallest new buildings in many places with temperate continental climates such as the American Midwest and the Canadian Prairies where a concrete foundation below the frost line is needed in any case, to prevent a building from shifting during the freeze-thaw cycle

Best drummer in syncope-driven drumming. Just the best alive drummer. One of the best, most sophisticated, outstanding drummer I ever heard in my life, and I heard all of them. Absolutely a genius on the drums. Alright I gotta admit leaving Meteora and MTM aside he didn't actually did any awesome drumming till The Hunting Party. That album shows his flair, fast yet smooth transitions. A Line in the Sand and other songs are pretty good example. His Given Up solo should also not be forgotten.
Now, we know that dark and broody basements are the basis of many nightmares and horror stories, but there's nothing horrific about these great basement bars in Birmingham. Utilising the ground underneath Birmingham's feet, these bars host everything from live music nights and local gigs to cocktail bars and medieval themed wonderlands.
The drummer that I replaced in the story above was a female university student, learning drums as a sort of official or semi-official extra-curricular activity. I knew of a few all-girl high school bands from my days as a teacher, as well. When I was teaching middle school in the early 200os, the school bands (the 20-piece groups with the brass, woodwind and percussion sections) were usually entirely girls. The alternative is a very small subculture of Western-style bars and venues. These are often British-style pubs or other places that are more plugged in to the foreign community here. I’m a prog drummer and in deciding to accept a role here had to leave a band I jointly founded in Australia, right at the point of us finishing recording an album – extremely hard to do given the band is very close and it was very hard to find the right mix of people and talent for the type of prog we.
Northern Ireland-born drummer Les Binks is best known for his time with Judas Priest, after he joined them on their 1977 world tour, following a spell with Eric Burdon. He brought a complicated, jazz-tinged style to the band and starred on their studio albums Stained Class (co-writing the song ‘Beyond The Realms Of Death’) and Killing Machine, as well as a live album from Japan, Unleashed In The East. Binks was still going strong in his late 60s. In 2018, the drummer performed classic Judas Priest songs live with a new band called Les Binks’ Priesthood. Elvin Jones was a renowned member of The John Coltrane Quartet. His powerful, complex playing helped changed the role of the drummer in jazz groups and influenced a generation of rockers, including The Doors, Grateful Dead and Santana. Check out: ‘Mr Jones’.
