Twenty five years on and Banda Los Recoditos are still young at heart, but some fans may think of their 2014 album as "juvenile. If the title doesn't give it away, Sueño XXX is partly a provocative porno dream, and one that runs the gamut from "couples" porno to "boys will be boys"-styled porno. The latter is represented by Hasta Que Salga el Sol and its accompanying video - which parodied the hedonistic comedy film The Hangover - while the former is represented by the title cut, a more subdued and sensual ode to carnal pleasures.

Finding your way through the catalog of Banda Los Recoditos feels like entering some overstuffed shop full of toys and tchotchkes, every item beckoning brighter and harder than the last. Everything’s shiny and a tad overpriced. The song’s author Rubén Esli got his big break on last year’s Recoditos album with the aforementioned Mi Último Deseo, and in a sense Recoditos albums function as a State of the Scene for norteño songwriters. Much like its older brother Banda El Recodo, Recoditos has the power and the chops to put new songwriters on the map, even while commanding songs from proven hitmakers. Fortunately the band has good taste.

Banda Los Recoditos is a Mexican Banda formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. It was founded in 1989 by friends and family members of Banda el Recodo by Cruz Lizárraga. Alfonso Lizárraga and Pancho Barraza, the first vocalists, were two of the more than dozen bandmembers comprising the original incarnation of the band  . In 1998 Alfonso Lizárraga member of Banda El Recodo fit them the name so that the band was forced to change their name to Banda Vuelta De Río. This band recorded three albums with Musart and some members returned to Recoditos, the actual band. There has been some opposition to the current band because most of the original members still belong to the band Vuelta De Río.
