Sorten Muld – III. 레이블: Pladecompagniet – PCCD 8166. Except tracks 3 and 10 lyrics and music are based upon findings in nordic traditional chants compiled, re-written and put to music by Sorten Muld. Issued in a standard jewel case with a 14-page booklet. First batch(es) had band name embossed on the front of the case.
But the whole band's come a long way. By comparison, Mark II was very raw, the kind of album that beat you over the head. This one brings you inside, every bit as powerful, but more thoughtful and measured, an approach that works well with this material. Think of them as electronic punks who've grown up and developed into resourceful, skillful musicians who are renewing the past for a club generation.

Sorten Muld is a Danish folktronica band, formed in 1995. They have won two Danish Grammys for Mark II. The English translation of Sorten Muld is Black Soil (or Dark Ground). Their music can be characterized by elegantly composed rhythms, floating sound of typical folk-instruments like bagpipes, flutes and violins, in an ion that supports the dramatic lyrics. Some tracks on Mark II are up-beat with only few lyrics and could also be characterized as dance or techno.
