Stefan Dohr / HansJörg Schellenberger - Carl Maria von Weber: Symphonies No. 1 & No. 2; Concertino for Horn; Concertino for Oboe mp3 download

Combined clarinet studios of Michael Galván and Richard Faria performing the Clarinet Concertino, op. 26 by Carl Maria von Weber accompanied by the Ithaca.

After obtaining his first prizes at juvenile competitions and at the United States Interlochen Music Camp Competition as best Orchestra Conductor, he furthered his professional music training in Munich and Detmold. Hansjörg Schellenberger.

Carl Maria von Weber is best remembered for his opera, Der Freischütz, as well as for a handful of overtures, and his clarinet concertos have become mainstays of the repertoire. Yet the bulk of his music has become semi-neglected, that is, performed now and then but not promoted enough to ensure permanence in the concert hall. This 2011 release on Camerata presents the Symphony No. 1 in C minor, the Concertino for horn and orchestra in E minor, the Concertino for oboe and wind ensemble in C major, and the Symphony No. 2 in C major, giving a good representation of Weber's orchestral style and virtuosic treatment of solo instruments. Conductor and oboist Hansjörg Schellenberger leads the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and performs as soloist, and he is joined by Stefan Dohr on horn.

Concertino In E Minor For Horn And Orchestra, Op. 45. B1. Composed By – Carl Maria Von Weber. Conductor – Gunter Neidlinger. Flute – Peter Thalheimer (tracks: B3). Horn – Francis Orval (tracks: B1a to B1d). Orchestra – Hamburg Symphony. Piano – Akiko Sagara (tracks: A1 to A3).

The album has two discs containing six overtures, the two symphonies and the Horn Concertino in E major, plus Berlioz's orchestration of Invitation to the Dance. If you are a horn player, like me, and/or have any interest in handhorn, this recording is a must for the Concertino. I've never heard natural horn sound so good. The horn openings of the Oberon and Freischutz Overtures sound amazing on the period instruments.

Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber (18 or 19 November 1786 – 5 June 1826) was a German composer, conductor, pianist, guitarist and critic, and was one of the first significant composers of the Romantic school.
