Album (Studio full-length). Integrity Discography.

With their second full-length record for Victory, Integrity upped the ante in the entire metalcore genre, and created a masterpiece of emotion, and experimentation. The compositions are far more advanced than their debut Systems Overload, and the lyrical content isn't as "evil" as their Humanity Is The Devil EP, thus this is truly a groundbreaking release for the integrity camp. With their second full-length record for Victory, Integrity upped the ante in the entire metalcore genre, and created a masterpiece of emotion, and experimentation.

This album has a couple good riffs, but is mostly filler material with stinky 3rd grade guitar solos. Their previous album was better, in that it had more of a hardcore edge to it uniqueness from metal.

This album helped set the tone for the brazenly heavy 2000 and the moodiness and metallic riffing on The Blackest Curse. Sure, over the half the album is abstract weirdness, but it makes the rest of the album feel so much heavier and more abrasive. This is an absolutely essential metallic hardcore album.

Integrity’s third album, Seasons in the Size of Days, was released in 1997. The band is renowned as one of the first examples of “Metalcore” in the USA in the 90’s, but that statement appears to be hard to support, because they’re stylistically much closer to the D#-tuned Post-Hardcore of Slayer and Iced Earth, despite the occasional presence of slower breakdowns typical of bands like Hatebreed and Biohazard. Only the longer “Millennial Reign” follows a calmer meditative clean-guitar Post-Rock in its instrumental coda, while “Heaven Inside Your Hell” is a piano ballad with “professional” Blues Rock guitar solos and cavernous spoken word vocals. The last track is sampled speech over tom drumming.
