This long-awaited two-disc set features all of Garland's jazz sides for Columbia Records between 1959-1960, including the complete albums Velvet Guitar, The Unforgettable Guitar of Hank Garland, and Jazz Winds From a New Direction.

Hank Garland is so versatile, recording great country music one day and great jazz the next, and excelling at both. This double album contains some of the best instrumental jazz guitar work I have ever heard. One person found this helpful. Hank Garland was simply one of the best ever to play a guitar. I liked his playing as backup on so many Nashville sessions, including just about everybody who recorded there--from Patsy Cline to even Elvis! I enjoy his jazz instrumentals on this release also, but prefer standards over original works.

Walter Louis Garland (11 November 1930 – 27 December 2004) professionally Hank Garland, was an American guitarist and songwriter.
