The Boswell Sisters were a close harmony singing group, consisting of sisters Martha Boswell Lloyd (June 9, 1905 – July 2, 1958), Connee Boswell (original name Connie, December 3, 1907 – October 11, 1976), and Helvetia "Vet" Boswell (May 20, 1911 – November 12, 1988), noted for intricate harmonies and rhythmic experimentation.

BOA is a local arts collaborative dedicated to the beautification of our community. Bridge of Art was at Dixon City Market last week. It was very ho. We made snowflakes with lots of people. Chidren and adults alike. We ended up with 32 new snowflakes. Thanks to Margaret Tyne for donating the paper and helping make the flakes. Thanks to Kathy Yount for all your help too. He was undoubtedly influenced by the French artists Gustave Doré (1832-1883), and Honoré Daumier (1808-79). Boswell made these lithographs in the same year that he became a member of the Artists International Association. Founded in 1933 this group was composed of politically engaged artists and designers, including James Fitton and Clifford Rowe (1904-89). The movement was founded as a reaction to the Great Depression of 1929 to 1936 which led to mass unemployment amongst the working classes.

They attained national prominence in the United States in the 1930s.

David graduated from art school in Pittsburgh in 1979 and began working as a staff artist at various studios in Pittsburgh. Two years later, David began teaching at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he lectured for ten years. In 1991, David began his illustration career working mostly with book publishers in New York City in which he completed over one hundred covers in a span of over ten years. Also, David's work graced the cover of numerous prominent magazines, including TIME. David Bowers was born in 1956 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. David graduated from art school in Pittsburgh in 1979 and began working as a staff artist at various studios in Pittsburgh.
