In the context of the Dark Side of the Moon album, as a catalog of the pressures on life, this song is about the senselessness of war. It began as a piano piece Rick Wright came up with while working on the soundtrack to the 1970 movie Zabriskie Point. It didn’t make the soundtrack, but they worked with it at the Dark Side Of The Moon sessions and it eventually became this song. This song is about binaries. It criticizes the cut and dry narrative that is given in a time of war.

Not Them Again is the adopted brainchild of Tarquin Gotch & Yoni Cohen. And the new studio album ‘Public Confidential’, which he was so rightly proud of, was released in January by DMF Records. Ranking Roger was an original member of The Beat who formed in Birmingham in 1978. Their numerous hits include Mirror in the Bathroom, Tears of A Clown, Ranking Full Stop and Hands off She’s Mine. Tarquin Gotch is an entertainment industry veteran, having worked in the music and film business since the late 1970s.

Type O Negative's main strengh in their songwriting is making complex compositions complete with multiple movements giving each track the feel of two, three, or even four songs in one. Yet, when it comes down to the playing, all of the members employ some of the most simplistic styles and ideas. The end result is more than satisfying to all of the senses, making "Dead Again" a perfect creation in both style and substance.

"Them Again" is an appropriate title, as the band mostly continues with the approach featured on their debut, for the most part. Van Morrison's voice is front and center and his singing a even more soulful than on the prior release, but the main template is the same: hard-driving r&b with few frills. There are some really enjoyable tracks ("Could You Would You," "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," and "Hey Girl" are standouts), but also a few duds (including a disappointing cover of Ray Charles' "I Got a Woman"). It's a very good, but not a truly great, album that's main historical purpose was to show the world Van Morrison's potential as a singer and front man.
