Rockin' All Over the World is the tenth studio album by British band Status Quo. It is their first to be produced by Pip Williams and the first to feature Andy Bown as a regular contributor to the band; he would later join the band officially in 1982. Released in November 1977, it reached in the UK. "A poxy album," said guitarist and singer Francis Rossi. There's nothing poxy about Rockin' All Over the World," countered guitarist Rick Parfitt.

The '80s was hip-hop's first real decade, the era when everything started to blow up. There's an old saying that no idea's original: "There's nothing new under the sun. It's never what you do, but how it's done. The art of the hip-hop album was perfected by the close of this remarkable decade. All these years later some discs sound dated while others feel fresher than ever. These are our picks for the Best Rap Albums of the 80s.

The cover was instantly replicated all over the Internet, with thousands of fans putting their own spin on various homages to what will likely become one of the most identifiable works of her career. Eschewing a friendly, fun image more conducive to '80s pop chart success, Janet Jackson adopted a militaristic tone for her instantly iconic black-and-white Rhythm Nation 1814 cover art. Generally when people think of '80s music, the first artists that pop into their heads might be Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Prince, Duran Duran, a-ha and other staples of MTV and the Top 40. There's no question that it was a golden age for pop music, although some of the quintessential hits of the '80s have aged better than others. Many younger music fans in particular consider '80s music irredeemably cheesy, and in many cases they are correct.

80s All Over began very simply: Scott called Drew and proposed a game. Drew added a rule to the game. While we’re stepping away from ‘80s All Over to pursue other endeavors, we sincerely do want to find a way to extend these conversations. We’re not looking to simply cut and run; instead, we’re trying to build some sustainable stuff that will allow us to try the next crazy ambitious thing-but this time with a much more solid foundation.

For those of you who are new to '80s All Over, it's a pretty simple idea. We decided that there is a huge amount of nostalgia for the '80s, particularly in terms of movies, but it almost all seems to focus on a small handful of movies.

For generations, album art has been an essential part of listening to music. The media may have changed, from vinyl to cassettes to CDs, and then recently back to vinyl again, but the imagery created to represent our favourite bands' music has continued to be an vital and vibrant element of pop culture. That, and of course, the all important music video. In this post, we salute the most iconic album art in rock history, some of which has gone on to become more famous and recognisable than the music it symbolises, and most of which has also adorned poster designs across the globe.
