As a live album release go, it is one of the best in rock. "If There Is Something" is simply an outstanding classic moment in the history of rock music.

This is the fifth album of a thread of album reviews in which I'd like to guide you through my personal musical history based on my top100 Album list you can find in my profile: the previous album in the thread was "Pet Sounds" by The Beach Boys.Roxy Music was always a constant in the music I liked with first the singles like "Virginia Plain" and "Love is the Drug" and later the more intricate songs of the albums of which "Viva!" features a few of the most beautiful like "Both Ends Burning" and "In Every Dreamhome A Heartache".I saw them a few times live in their later stages when they started playing their old songs again and every time they were fantastic.5 Songs on this album in my songs top 1000 and there are 7 more of Roxy Music appearing on other albums:- Out of the Blue (this album and Country Life)- Both Ends Burning (this album and Siren)- If there is Something (this album and Roxy Music)- In Every Dreamhome a Heartache (this album and For Your Pleasure)- Do the Strand (this album and For Your Pleasure)- A Song For Europe (Stranded)- Ladytron (Roxy Music)- Editions of You (For Your Pleasure)- Virginia Plain (Roxy Music)- Love is the Drug (Siren)- Let's Stick Together (Street Life: 20 Greatest Hits)- A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall (Street Life: 20 Greatest Hits)Next album in this thread: "If You Want Blood You've Got it" from AC/DC
