The Everly Brothers is the 1958 eponymous debut album of close harmony rock and roll duo The Everly Brothers. The album peaked at No. 16 on Billboard's "pop albums" chart and launched three very successful singles. Originally on the Cadence label, (CLP-3003), the album was re-released on LP in 1988 by EMI and on CD in 2000 by Emporio Records. It was re-released again in 2009 on 180-gram vinyl by Doxy music.

Rock'n Soul features a whole LP of oldies covers with guitar-heavy '60s arrangements, including such standards as "That'll Be the Day," "Kansas City," "Hound Dog," "Lonely Weekends," "I Got a Woman," and the then-recent "Dancing in the Street. It's decently played and sung, but not among the Everlys' most creative work, or even among their most interesting material of the mid-'60s. It's also not quite as good as the similar album they would release later in 1965, Beat & Soul.

Rock'N Soul doesn't suffer from the problems that affected its predecessor, Gone Gone Gone - namely its directionless feel. All of these songs are covered well and carried by the Everlys' distinctive harmonic style, and the version of "Love Hurts" is much more rock-based than the original version on A Date With The Everly Brothers, providing a fresh take on a classic Everlys record. However, none of what's on this album is particularly original or exciting, leaving the audience with a good, yet ultimately boring LP.
