My take on Daft Punk's movie Electroma.

Human After All is the third studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, released on 14 March 2005 by Virgin Records. Unlike their previous album Discovery (2001), whose sound was inspired by disco and garage house, Human After All was more minimalistic and improvisational with a mixture of guitars and electronics.

Daft Punk are an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. The duo achieved significant popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement and were met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house music with funk, techno, disco, rock, and synthpop. The group was managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter, the head of Ed Banger Records. The 2001 release of Discovery was even more successful, driven by the club singles "One More Time", "Digital Love", and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger".

Human After All is the third studio album by Daft Punk. It was released on March 8th 2005 in Japan through Toshiba-EMI, March 14th 2005 in the UK and March 15th 2005 in the USA and the rest of the world through Virgin Records. The album was recorded between September 13th and October 9th, 2004 and was co-produced by Cédric Hervet and Gildas Loaëc. The total running time of the album is 45:34.

Discovery is the second studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, released on 26 February 2001 by Virgin Records. It marks a shift from the Chicago house sound prevalent on their first studio record, Homework (1997), to a house style more heavily inspired by disco, post-disco, garage house, and R&B.

50. Daft Punk may have become the victim of their own animatronic satire.

Though the long-awaited Human After All retains that playfulness, it's the duo's simplest album, which oddly enough, makes it their most difficult to embrace at first. Human After All was made in six weeks, and sounds like it - and not always in a good way: the quick-and-dirty recording process and limited palette of grainy synths, vocoders, and guitars do lend a stripped-down, spontaneous feel, but just as often, this minimal approach feels like it's supporting minimal ideas.
