Jevetta Steele (born November 11, 1963) is an African American R&B and gospel music singer. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, Steele eventually migrated to Minneapolis, Minnesota to become a criminal lawyer. Steele later embarked upon a solo career within music and the stage. She also went on to be a member of gospel group The Steeles along with her sister Jearlyn and three brothers.

Jevetta Steele (born November 11, 1963) is an African American gospel music singer. At the same time as these sessions, Steele worked on her debut album, Here It Is. Primarily recorded at Paisley Park and produced by Tommy LiPuma and Ricky Peterson, the album was first released in France in 1991. Steele's debut album included her hit "Calling You", and also featured two Prince-written songs, and a cover of "Say A Little Prayer For You" which was released as the first single. The album remained only released in France until Columbia Records picked it up for worldwide distribution in 1993

Jevetta Steele is an African American gospel music singer originally from Gary, Indiana, though she has lived in Minneapolis now for many years. Her most famous song is "Calling You" from the movie Bagdad Café and in AT&T commercials. She has recorded and toured with such legends as Prince, George Clinton, 10,000 Maniacs and of course, the gospel group The Steeles, comprised of members of her equally talented family, like her sister Jearlyn Steele, ., and Billy.
